Meeting with King Charles 111
On November 7, 2024, the Lieutenant Governor had the immense honour of meeting with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
This meeting, carrying great symbolic and diplomatic significance, provided an opportunity to exchange on themes close to Her Honour's heart, notably reconciliation and environmental protection.
This defining moment also highlights the historic ties binding the British Crown, Canada, Québec, and First Nations and Inuit peoples — particularly on the eve of the 300th anniversary of the peace and friendship treaty between the Mi'gmaq and the Crown.
This dialogue speaks to the importance of these relationships in strengthening bridges between peoples and fostering mutual understanding. By carrying the voice of Québec and its values, the Lieutenant Governor reaffirmed her commitment to promoting unifying and inspiring initiatives, both on the national and international stage.
