In carrying out her constitutional, ceremonial, and community responsibilities, the Lieutenant Governor of Québec works to advance the values that guide her mandate.

Through her presence and commitments, she helps strengthen dialogue, shine a light on meaningful initiatives, and plays an important role in safeguarding our democratic institutions — all while serving as a unifying figure at the heart of Québec society.

Mandate

The Lieutenant Governor of Québec's mandate for the next four years rests on three core priorities: reconciliation, education and the environment.

These foundational pillars aim to strengthen the bonds between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, while highlighting the role and values of the office.

Kindness and respect serve as the underlying principles behind all actions taken, reflecting a commitment to coming together, mutual understanding, and collective engagement.

Objectives

Reconciliation: Fostering dialogue between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples through events, unifying public addresses, and an active presence in the field.

Education: Meeting with young people in schools and universities to raise awareness about the office, demystify its place in our democratic system, and encourage youth to participate in reconciliation.

Environment and Sustainable Development: Adopting environmentally responsible practices in the Cabinet's activities, taking part in actions and events in support of the environment, and promoting civic engagement in the preservation of our living environment.

Outreach: Ensuring the visibility of the office and its initiatives through multi-channel communications.
