Reconciliation in action
Reconciliation is a vital pathway to building a harmonious future between First Nations, Inuit, and the people of Québec. The Lieutenant Governor has made it one of the three core values she seeks to embody during her mandate.
She is committed to acting as a catalyst, highlighting initiatives that foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
Here is a selection of events the Lieutenant Governor attended during her first year in office:

Beyond these concrete actions, the Lieutenant Governor encourages the presence of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous dignitaries at public and ceremonial events and supports numerous initiatives. By creating spaces for reflection and dialogue, she promotes a deeper understanding of the contributions of First Nations and of the path we must continue to walk together.
These symbolic and meaningful actions reaffirm that reconciliation is not only an aspiration, but a shared responsibility.
