Inauguration of the Salon des saisons
On September 17, 2024, the Cabinet inaugurated a new emblematic space: the Salon des saisons, the venue where the institution's ceremonial functions are held.
Conceived as a place of welcome, dialogue, and reflection, this salon honours the landscapes of the Québec territory through the lens of the six Indigenous seasons — a conception of time and of the living world deeply rooted in the worldview of First Nations peoples.
Through a collaboration with aerial photographer and artist Yves Tremblay, an Innu man from Pessamit, the walls of the salon are now brought to life by stunning works that bear witness to the beauty and richness of Québec.
