Manon Jeannotte a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e par le premier ministre du Canada Justin Trudeau le 7 d\u00e9cembre 2023 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 asserment\u00e9e comme 30e<\/sup>\u00a0lieutenante-gouverneure du Qu\u00e9bec le 25 janvier 2024, devenant ainsi la deuxi\u00e8me femme et la premi\u00e8re personne issue des Premi\u00e8res Nations \u00e0 occuper cette fonction.<\/p>

Reconnue pour sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des collaborations, elle a toujours eu \u00e0 c\u0153ur les relations interpersonnelles.<\/p>

C\u2019est avec humilit\u00e9 et aplomb qu\u2019elle aborde son nouveau mandat en souhaitant se montrer g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse de son temps en d\u00e9montrant compassion et empathie dans ses rapports avec autrui. Avant sa nomination comme 30e<\/sup> lieutenante-gouverneure du Qu\u00e9bec, l\u2019honorable Manon Jeannotte \u00e9tait directrice de l\u2019\u00c9cole des dirigeants des Premi\u00e8res Nations \u00e0 HEC Montr\u00e9al, dont elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 par ailleurs co-initiatrice.<\/p>

Madame Jeannotte a surtout fait sa marque au sein de la Nation Micmac de Gespeg, d\u2019abord comme conseill\u00e8re de 2003 \u00e0 2008 puis de 2011 \u00e0 2015, avant d\u2019occuper la fonction de Cheffe de 2015 \u00e0 2019.<\/p>

En d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re, elle a eu l\u2019occasion de r\u00e9diger un m\u00e9moire sur la pr\u00e9sence des Mi\u2019gma en Gasp\u00e9sie afin de le pr\u00e9senter \u00e0 la Commission des lieux et monuments historiques du Canada. Par la suite, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9e lors d\u2019un programme de rel\u00e8ve par le biais d\u2019un concours pancanadien \u00e0 titre de stagiaire autochtone au sein de Statistique Canada \u00e0 titre d\u2019analyste.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
